Sweet Beans with Chancaca

Ingredients

1 kilogram of Soaked beans

200 grams of Bacon in chunks

1 Chopped onion

1 kilogram of Pork meat

½ Chancaca block

½ cup of Ketchup

2 Bay leaves

1 tablespoon of Minced garlic

1 tablespoon of Ground chili

2 Cloves

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : Drain the beans and place them in a pot along with half of the bacon.

Step 2 : Cook until tender.

Step 3 : In a separate skillet, fry the remaining bacon until golden, then set aside the bacon and fry the onion in the rendered fat.

Step 4 : Add garlic, ground chili, cloves, bay leaves, salt, and pepper, and cook briefly before adding the pork meat.

Step 5 : Add the cooked beans, chancaca, and ketchup to the preparation.

Step 6 : Cook everything until the chancaca has completely melted.

Step 7 : Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 8 : Before serving, remove the bay leaves and cloves.

Step 9 : Serve the dish hot and enjoy.
