North-style Goat is a exquisite traditional Peruvian dish, where the meat is marinated in chicha de jora and slowly cooked with yellow chilies, cilantro, and onion.

Ingredients

1 kilogram of Goat in pieces

2 cups of Chicha de jora

3 Chopped onions

3 Chopped yellow chilies

½ cup of Chopped cilantro

Vegetable oil

1 tablespoon of Ground garlic

Ground panca chili

1 teaspoon of Oregano

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare Northern-style Goat, clean the pieces of goat and marinate them in chicha de jora, salt, and pepper for 2 hours.

Step 2 : In a pot with hot oil, sauté garlic, panca chili, and oregano.

Step 3 : Then add the marinade, along with cilantro, yellow chilies, and onion.

Step 4 : Next, brown the goat pieces in a skillet with oil and add them to the pot with the other ingredients.

Step 5 : Cook on low heat covered for 2 hours until the goat is tender.

Step 6 : It is recommended to adjust the seasoning and add water if necessary.

Step 7 : Once cooking is finished, add a few drops of lemon juice.

Step 8 : This delicious dish is served accompanied by white rice and cooked cassava.
