Fried Calamari with Mayonnaise
Ingredients
14 Calamari rings
½ cup of Flour
Oil
1 Lemon
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
2 cups of Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon of Mustard
1 tablespoon of Lime chili
1 cup of Natural yogurt
½ teaspoon of Powdered sugar
2 tablespoons of Olive oil
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of Parsley
½ tablespoon of Fennel
Preparation
Step 1 : The already cut calamari are seasoned with salt and pepper.
Step 2 : They are dipped in flour and fried in abundant hot oil until golden and crispy.
Step 3 : It is important to fry them in batches so the oil doesn't cool down, so wait until the oil is very hot before adding the next batch.
Step 4 : Once fried, drain well and place on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
Step 5 : Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise with Dijon mustard, olive oil with lime chili purée, yogurt, Worcestershire sauce, and powdered sugar.
Step 6 : To serve, coat the fried calamari with the prepared sauce and garnish with parsley and fennel on top.
Step 7 : You can also serve the sauce separately if preferred.
