Piurana Custard
Ingredients
2 liters of Goat milk
1 cup of Sugar
1 liter of Chancaca
½ cup of Water
3 tablespoons of Cornstarch
1 Drop of vanilla
1 Cinnamon stick
3 Cloves
1 teaspoon of Baking soda
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, place the water along with the sugar and chancaca.
Step 2 : Cook until the chancaca dissolves, then strain to remove any residue from the syrup.
Step 3 : Return the mixture to the heat, and when it starts to boil, add the milk.
Step 4 : Stir constantly, preferably with a wooden spoon, and add the cloves and cinnamon.
Step 5 : In a separate container, dissolve the cornstarch and baking soda in water before adding them to the previous mixture.
Step 6 : Finally, add the vanilla and stir until you can see the bottom of the pot.
Step 7 : Serve the custard hot or cold, perfect for sharing with family and friends.
