Ingredients

1 can of Condensed milk

1 can of Evaporated milk

¾ cup of Unbleached flour

1 ½ cup of Cornstarch

½ cup of Unsalted butter

1 cup of Powdered sugar

¼ teaspoon of Vanilla essence

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, start by pouring the condensed milk and evaporated milk into a heavy-bottomed pot and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture shows the bottom of the pot.

Step 2 : Once ready, remove from heat and let cool.

Step 3 : Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F) and sift the flour with the cornstarch and a pinch of salt, setting the mixture aside.

Step 4 : In another bowl, beat the butter and half of the powdered sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.

Step 5 : Add the vanilla essence and the flour, cornstarch, and salt mixture.

Step 6 : Knead with your fingers until obtaining a smooth dough, then refrigerate.

Step 7 : Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface and cut out circles.

Step 8 : Place these disks on a baking sheet and bake for approximately twenty minutes.

Step 9 : Once baked, remove from the oven, let cool, and fill with the manjar blanco.

Step 10 : Finally, sprinkle the remaining sugar over the cookies for a finishing touch.
